Daily Challenge

Make a list of any medications you take, and store it in your wallet or phone.

How to do it:
Make a list of the medicines you take, either on a small piece of paper or in your cell phone. Include medicines your doctor has prescribed, as well as over-the-counter medications and dietary supplements (such as vitamins and herb remedies). Include the dose of each medication, along with how often, when, and why you take it. Include any allergies you have to medicines.

Why it matters:
Having a handy list of your medications and allergies makes it easier to tell your doctor, pharmacist, or other healthcare provider what you're taking. This information will help ensure that you're getting the most benefit possible from your drugs and prevent harmful interactions between drugs (or between drugs and certain foods).

Let us know if you tried it.

Fun Fact:
The word vitamin was coined by Polish biochemist Casimir Funk. He published his first work on vitamins in 1911, entitled "Experiments on the Causation of Beri-Beri."
