His signature hit, “U Can’t Touch This,” was released in 1990 and won two Grammy Awards for Best R&B Song and Best Rap Solo Performance. The music video for his number-one hit introduced America to Hammer’s signature dance moves and iconic parachute pants. 

Today, MC Hammer is a household name and cultural icon. His music continues to inspire other artists, and his record labels have helped cultivate the next generation of hip-hop.
