National Pumpkin Cheesecake Day

It seems that during the fall, anything and everything can be pumpkin flavored: pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin beer,  pumpkin coffee, pumpkin bread, and of course, pumpkin cheesecake. It is the perfect way to end any meal! Pumpkin cheesecake is commonly made with a graham cracker crust and a pumpkin puree flavored cheesecake filling on top.

Did you know that the first cheesecake dates back to as far as 2,000 B.C. in Greece? Thousands of years later, cheesecakes began appearing in America in recipes brought over by immigrants. Today pumpkin cheesecake is a worldwide favorite variation on the original cheesecake recipe. Enjoy a slice on National Pumpkin Cheesecake Day!
October is National Pasta Month & National Dessert Month & National Chili Month & National Roller Skating Month & Adopt-a-Dog Month & National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Quote of the Day:
Reflections on Life "Life is made up of small pleasures. Happiness is made up of those tiny successes. The big ones come too infrequently. And if you don’t collect all these tiny successes the big ones don’t really mean anything."

--Norman Lear
