Today is:

World Party Day

Today is a global celebration of a better world and of the future of humanity and earth! World Party Day (P-Day) began in 1996 as one of the first worldwide efforts to bring about improved social conditions. The idea of P-Day came from the novel, in which there was a fictional synchronized moment of global human celebration. This notion inspired some readers of the book to organize a real event of a worldwide party.

Since its beginnings, P-Day has been observed each year through parties and mass celebration, each year gaining momentum as the number of participants increases. Radio stations around the world celebrate World Party by organizing themed music to play and telling listeners to "pass the food, turn up the music, and donate 25 cents to the World Food Program." Many schools celebrate today with multicultural lessons, activities, and arts.

To celebrate World Party Day throw a party, attend a party, enjoy some laughs, and just have fun! We have a good idea where you can start planning your next party!
