Today is...

Lee National Denim Day

Today is Lee National Denim Day, one of the largest single-day fundraisers for breast cancer in the country. Since its inception in 1996, Lee National Denim Day has raised over $80 million for the fight against breast cancer.
Following their simple philosophy, “one day, one cause, one cure,” Lee Jeans invites companies to participate in the fundraiser and go casual for a cause. Employees are encouraged to wear jeans to work in exchange for a $5 contribution to the breast cancer fund. Nearly 1 million supporters take part in the fundraiser each year.
Almost everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer—a mom, a sister, an aunt, a friend—but great strides have been made thanks to campaigns like Lee National Denim Day. Send a thoughtful breast cancer awareness eCard and learn how you can get involved!

Reflections on Life"An individual’s human existence should be like a river--small at first, narrowly contained within its bounds, and seeking passionately past boulders and even waterfalls. Gradually the river grows wide, the banks recede, the waters flow more quietly, and in the end, without any visible break they become merged in the sea and painlessly lose their individual being."

--Bertrand Russell
