World Environment Day

Today is World Environment Day! World Environment Day (WED) is an annual event organized by the United Nations. Its purpose is to help spread awareness about important environmental issues and to encourage people to take positive political action.
World Environment Day has been celebrated since 1972. The international festivities take place in a different host city each year, and the program is always based on a specific theme. Find out about the concerts, exhibits, film festivals, park clean-ups, and other community events going on in your area on the official WED website.
To celebrate World Environment Day, get involved! Find a way to make a difference and help preserve the earth and all its resources.
